Where we serve

The Seven Cultural Spheres of Society

What makes Global Chaplaincy Center, Bahamas unique is that our chaplains are trained and equipped for the ministry of chaplaincy in seven distinct spheres, each with its own pressures, needs and opportunities for care.

Why seven

I am because we are

At Global Chaplaincy Center, Bahamas, (GCCB), we embrace the principle of Ubuntu — “I am because we are.” This timeless philosophy reminds us that the well-being of every individual is connected to the well-being of the whole community. Spiritual, emotional, and social flourishing are not separate from daily life—they are woven into our families, workplaces, institutions, and neighborhoods.

We are uniquely positioned to bridge the sacred and the secular by serving as the spiritual heartbeat across all seven spheres of society. Through collaboration with faith communities, government, education, business, healthcare, family, religion/church and media/arts and entertainment, we help cultivate compassion, ethical leadership, resilience, and hope where people live, work, learn, serve, and create.

Our mission is to strengthen individuals, equip leaders, and transform communities by integrating faith, emotional well-being, and practical action. We believe that lasting change begins with healthy people, principled leadership, and communities united by shared purpose.

Together, we are building a society where every person is valued, every voice matters, and every sphere of influence reflects the dignity, justice, and compassion that Ubuntu inspires.
